As someone who has worked in nucleasr power (Florida Power and Light Turkey Point Plant) I would like to point out that a radiation leak that would travel around the world would lead to an infinitsimal amount of radiation everywhere. It would be diluted. You would probably get more radiation from (1) a dental X-ray (2) flying across the ocean (3) a granite countertop in your kitchen (4) eating a banana.

Please keep in mind that radiation is a part of life. Radiation rains down on us all the time in the form of cosmic rays. You can't avoid it.
