I don't really know much about Stoic Philosophy, but I have a problem with basing actions primarily on intentions. For example, you state that the intention of helping others is more virtuous than lining one's resume. How was that determination made? I can't see how this was derived a priori from pure reasoning. It would appear that the best intentions are determined to be so because past experience has shown that they lead to superior consequences.
